recent research

Lately, I have worked with the Regulatory Framework Promotion of Pro-poor Insurance Markets in Asia (RFPI Asia) programme of GIZ to support inclusive insurance in Asia.

Previously, I evaluated a concept that pools natural disaster risks among microfinancial actors and came up with several suggestions like including insurance risks in such a pool and establishing the pool as a mutual or cooperative institution.

This research project was connected to my Master's study programme in International and Development Economics at HTW Berlin. The Master Thesis is called 'Natural Disaster Risk Management in Microfinance - Ex-ante Evaluation of GlobalAgRisk's Risk Pooling Concept'.

The Making Finance Work for Africa Partnership (MFW4A) has given me the opportunity

to share my findings on its Africa Finance Forum Blog.
